Topic: Can cats be petted? Are cats harmful to us?

Introduction:

The cat you see in the picture is one of my favorite cats. When I lived in Dhaka, it used to live on the balcony next to my room. It used to eat leftover food from the mess. Those who live in the mess as bachelors know very well how much food is left in the mess every day. It used to eat leftover food kept in the garbage bucket in front of the room and sleep in front of the room. Whenever it saw me, it would meow and come and roam around at my feet. I would hold it and stroke it. It would then sit quietly near me.

Many people may wonder whether a cat can be petted or not? The answer is - yes. Of course, a cat can be petted. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) loved cats very much. One of the beloved companions of the Prophet (PBUH) was named Abdur Rahman. When he used to come to the Prophet (PBUH), he would bring a kitten under his cloak. Seeing this scene, the Prophet (PBUH) one day called him Abu Hurairah. Abu Hurairah means the father of a cat. We know that no human being can be the father of a cat. It is worth noting that he was the narrator of the highest number of hadiths among the narrators.

Are cats harmful to us?

Many people may wonder whether cats are harmful to us? The answer is - initially, it can be said that cats are not harmful to us. The person who keeps a cat must keep an eye on the cat's movements. It cannot be allowed to go to rotten or dirty places. It cannot be allowed to mix with other animals. It must always be kept clean. If necessary, it must be bathed after a certain number of days. One characteristic of cats is that they are always close to humans. They even sleep with humans at night. Therefore, care must be taken to ensure that the cat's feet do not get scratched. However, currently, small socks are available in the market to protect against cat scratches. If you wear them, you can be free from the risk of getting scratched.

Here is the point of caution -
Cats are our most beloved animals. But cat saliva can spread serious diseases to humans. Especially if the cat is not vaccinated and has any disease. Stray cats are more likely to get such diseases. Therefore, vaccinate your pet regularly and check its health.

Many people may think that cat bites are more harmful, but this is not the case. Cat saliva is more harmful than cat bites. Because cat saliva contains a single-celled bacteria. Which is called Capnocytophaga. It is very harmful to humans. This bacterium can cause various fatal diseases in humans. As a result, people can get serious diseases like rabies, heart attack, kidney failure.

Those who will raise cats should cover all types of food. They should develop the habit of not letting the cat eat anywhere.
