1. Introduction:

Welcome to my page 'The City of Knowledge'. We have arranged articles about topics of law as per Bar Council Syllabus for Bar Council Examinee. Hope, all the articles under Bar Council shall be helpful for them. Please stay connected with us through visiting our website.

2. Description:

'Legal Studies' is another important sub-section of the 'Education' section of our website 'City of Knowledge'. It is very relevant for the Bar Council Certificate candidates of Bangladesh. We have organized the articles written under this section into several sub-sections according to the syllabus and curriculum prepared by the Bangladesh Bar Council. Which are presented below in turn-

(i) Bar Council Syllabus: 

In the first row of the sub-section under 'Bar Council', we have written the syllabus prepared by the Bangladesh Bar Council for the Bar Council Certificate aspirants. Through which the candidates can first select their required books.

(ii) Evidence Act-1972: 

In the second row of 'Bar Council', we have put 'Evidence Act-1972'. This is an important law applicable to both civil and criminal cases. Without it, no trial can be conducted properly and it is an important textbook for the Bar Council Certificate candidates.

(iii) Code of Civil Procedure-1908: 

In the third row of ‘Bar Council’ we have placed ‘Code of Civil Procedure-1908’. This is an act related to the conduct of cases of civil nature. Without it, no civil case can be tried properly and this is also an important textbook for Bar Council Certificate candidates.

(iv) Code of Criminal Procedure-1898: 

In the fourth row of ‘Bar Council’ we have placed ‘Code of Criminal Procedure-1898’. This is an act related to the conduct of cases of criminal nature. Without it, no criminal case can be disposed of properly and this is also an important textbook for Bar Council candidates.

(v) Penal Code-1860: 

In the fifth row of ‘Bar Council’ we have placed ‘Penal Code 1860’. This is an act related to the punishment of offences in the conduct of cases of criminal nature. Without it, it is not possible to punish the offender for his actions in any criminal case and this is also a relevant textbook for Bar Council Certificate aspirants.

(vi) Specific Relief Act-1877: 

In the sixth row of ‘Bar Council’, we have placed ‘Synirishta Remedies Act-1877’. This is an act related to the conduct of cases of a civil nature. Without it, it is not possible to conduct the trial of certain cases. This is an important textbook relevant for Bar Council Certificate aspirants.

(vii) The Limitation Act-1908: 

In the seventh row of ‘Bar Council’, we have placed ‘Limitation Act-1908’. This is an act related to the period of time in the conduct of both civil and criminal cases. This act is used to determine whether a case has been filed in the court within the prescribed time. This is an important textbook relevant for Bar Council Certificate aspirants.

(viii) Bar Council Order-1972:

 In the eighth row of ‘Bar Council’ we have placed ‘Bar Council Order-1872’. This is an act which contains details about the rules of conduct of Bar Council and rules and regulations for granting certificates to certificate aspirants and code of conduct of lawyers. This is a relevant act for Bar Council certificate aspirants.

(ix) MCQ for Bar Council Examination: 

We have placed ‘MCQ for Bar Council Examination’ in the ninth row of ‘Bar Council’. This is an important sub-section for the merit check of Bar Council certificate aspirants. Therefore this is also an important part for the certificate aspirants.
